The attention was very clear and fast. Jophy Mathew was very polite and kind with his service, 5 stars for him. The medical testes were quickly. I recommend this company a lot!

The Electrolyte Profile is our electrolyte test in Dubai: 3 tests (sodium, potassium and chloride) measured from one blood sample at home or at the lab, with no fasting needed. It is written for people with muscle cramps, palpitations or unexplained weakness, for anyone taking diuretics or blood-pressure and heart medication, for athletes and outdoor workers losing salts through a long Dubai summer, and for anyone recovering from vomiting, diarrhoea or heat exposure.
These three salts are read as a set because each one only makes sense next to the others. Sodium governs how much water your body holds, and with it your blood pressure and the concentration of everything dissolved in your blood. Potassium works across the membranes of nerve and muscle cells, including the heart, and its healthy window is narrow, so even small movement matters. Chloride generally shadows sodium and, in doing so, helps show whether your acid-base balance has shifted. Seen together they help your doctor tell dilution, such as heavy sweating replaced with plain water, from genuine salt loss through the gut or the kidneys. Blood levels alone cannot settle that question: it takes an examination and, often, a urine sample as well.
All three come from one serum tube, and you can eat and drink normally beforehand. Drink as you usually would rather than loading up on water in the hour before the visit, since a sudden intake shifts sodium slightly. Potassium is sensitive to how blood is drawn and handled, which is one reason the sample is taken by a DHA-licensed phlebotomist and moved straight to our EIAC-accredited laboratory. Home collection anywhere in Dubai is free, 7 days a week, and your physician-reviewed Smart Report arrives within 24 hours.
Your doctor interprets the three values alongside your medication, your kidney function and how you feel. Severe symptoms such as fainting, confusion, chest pain or a racing heart need medical attention now, not a booked test.

3 biomarkers, fully explained
From booking to answers in a few days
- 1
Book any day, no preparation
Choose a home or office visit anywhere in Dubai, or the lab, 7 days a week. Nothing to organise beforehand: eat, drink and take your medication as you normally would.
- 2
No fasting for this panel
Sodium, potassium and chloride are not thrown off by a meal, so morning or afternoon both work. Keep your fluid intake ordinary rather than drinking a large amount just before.
- 3
Careful draw, quick transfer
One serum tube is taken by a DHA-licensed phlebotomist and sent straight to the laboratory, because potassium in particular can drift if a sample is squeezed or left standing.
- 4
Three levels, one clear read
Within 24 hours your Smart Report shows sodium, potassium and chloride against their reference ranges, physician-reviewed, so a shift in one can be judged against the other two.
Frequently asked questions
When something suggests your salt and water balance has slipped: recurring cramps, palpitations, unexplained weakness or confusion, a spell of vomiting or diarrhoea, a heavy training block in the heat, or a new prescription for a diuretic or heart medication.
Sodium sets how much water your body retains and underpins blood pressure. Potassium keeps nerve and muscle cells, including heart muscle, firing correctly. Chloride moves with sodium and helps hold your acid-base balance steady, which is why all three are measured together.
Sometimes, though cramps have many causes: dehydration, unaccustomed exercise, medication and circulation among them. This panel checks one of the treatable explanations; if the levels are normal, your doctor can move on and look at the others rather than guessing.
It is a reasonable thing to raise with your doctor. Diuretics work by changing how much salt and water the kidneys hold on to, and potassium in particular can move as a result, which is why people on them are often monitored.
Sodium usually tells the clearest story, because sweat carries salt away and replacing it with plain water alone dilutes what is left. Chloride tends to follow sodium, and the pair gives your doctor a reading to set against your symptoms and what you drink on a training day. A blood sample reflects the morning it was taken, not the month behind it.
Its normal range is narrow and the heart is sensitive to movement in either direction. The result is also easy to disturb in the sample itself, so the draw technique and getting the tube to the laboratory promptly both matter more here than for most tests.
Only in part. Electrolyte levels are one of the things the kidneys regulate, but assessing kidney function needs markers such as creatinine and urea: those sit in our kidney function panel, which your doctor may prefer if the kidneys are the real question.
In substance it does not. The Electrolytes test covers the same sodium, potassium and chloride, from the same serum sample, at the same AED 199, with the same physician-reviewed report. Book whichever listing you reach first; the testing and the result are identical.
No fasting is needed. Eat and drink as you usually do and keep taking prescribed medication unless your doctor has told you otherwise: just avoid drinking an unusually large amount of water immediately before the appointment.
AED 199 covers all 3 tests, free home sample collection anywhere in Dubai 7 days a week, and a physician-reviewed Smart Report within 24 hours. If you would like help choosing between this and a broader panel, you can ask our care team.

I had my full OGTT done at Intel Lab and had a great experience. The employees were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the process. They explained each step clearly, which really helped ease my nerves. They also took my blood sample very carefully, especially since I’m afraid of needles, which I truly appreciated. Everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Highly recommended!
